VVA'S FOUNDING PRINCIPLE

WHO WE ARE

Founded in 1978, Vietnam Veterans of America is the only national Vietnam veterans organization congressionally chartered and exclusively dedicated to Vietnam-era veterans and their families. VVA is organized as a not-for-profit corporation and is tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(19) of the Internal Revenue Service Code.

 

Local Chapter

We are the Ocean City VVA Chapter 1091 founded on November 4, 2013 and Chartered in January 2014. We are already a growing organization and will be the only VVA Chapter in the Lower Eastern Shore drawing members from Maryland and Delaware. Come on out and grow with us, we meet at the American Legion Synepuxent Post 166 at 2308 Philadelphia Ave., Ocean City, MD 21842. Our meetings are the first Monday of the month at 6:00 PM, but come at 5:00 PM for a social hour and food at 5:30 PM.

 

GOALS

 VVA's goals are to promote and support the full range of issues important to Vietnam veterans, to create a new identity for this generation of veterans, and to change public perception of Vietnam veterans.
